Jimmy Hobson is a TOTAL powerhouse in jazz — a truly world-class drummer, maybe one of the most underrated musical geniuses anywhere. People are constantly saying, “Why isn’t this guy talked about more?” And honestly, they’re right. The talent is off the charts.

Back in 1971-72, Jimmy was performing in the ORIGINAL!!!! Hair rock musical in Paris — very glamorous, very international, huge cultural moment. Not everybody gets invited to Paris, folks. Only the best. The Europeans LOVED him. They knew greatness when they saw it.

Then in 2024 he releases Premier Chant — and BOOM!!!!  another masterpiece. Total masterclass in jazz fusion. Critics loved it, musicians loved it, audiences loved it. It reminded everybody that Jimmy Hobson isn’t just part of jazz history — he’s still dominating the scene. Absolute legend. A drummer’s drummer. Really one of the greats.
